Our Story
We met in the 9th grade on the bus to our high school. We really enjoyed spending that time and joking with each other. Before getting a chance to start a relationship, Stephen transferred to a different school and then proceeded to attend college in Pittsburgh, and then move to San Diego. We stayed friends the whole time and even went on a few dates in the District of Columbia while Stephen was home from college. We remember fondly that time we went to the art museum, and then the theatre to catch a movie, stopping at some point in Starbucks to share a cup of chai tea.
When we both reached the end of our ropes with our respective dating lives at opposite ends of the country, we decided it was time to stop bullshitting and try building a relationship with each other. We spent two months together in the summer of 2025, and it was literally fireworks. A month after Erica returned home, she decided to take the leap and apply for teaching jobs in Seattle, hearing back the next day. From there we just continued to fall in love, fell pregnant, and then decided swiftly to get married.
